If you’re booking a last minute trip, the likelihood is you have done as much as training as you would have liked to get the most of your time on the slopes. At Optimum Derby we have put a programme together for you based on the exercises and conditioning sessions Tom used with the GB Snowsport team between 2012 and 2019.
Gone are the days of squats and sitting against the wall for minutes on end. Skiing is much more than that.
After Dave Rydings impressive win at the weekend in Kitzbuhel, Austria in the slalom and the 2022 Winter Olympics around the corner, these exercises and programmes have been made for you.
Our programme at Optimum is aimed to get you fit to ski in 6 weeks, with 3 sessions a week to complete, you will progress with specific exercises based for skiing. Here are a few sample drills included in the programme.
